Steve Griffith
A twenty-year professional in Public Relations and Marketing,
Steve Griffith has worked at the highest levels for Alan Taylor
Communications’ sister company, Pyramid Public Relations;
NBC Sports, Madison Square Garden, Main Events, the Worldwide
Senior Tennis Circuit, Pyramid Public Relations, and The Festival
Group. He is an elite talent who specializes in the
application of state-of-the-art tactics to reach the desired result.
He served as co-general manager of Pyramid, helping to grow the
business into a $3 million agency in less than two years. At NBC,
he promoted all major events in the Sports Division, including
the Super Bowl, the World Series, Wimbledon, the Rose Bowl, the
Fiesta Bowl and the Big East college basketball tournament.
At Madison Square Garden, Griffith was the only director who
served on both the Public Relations and Marketing committees for company-wide initiatives. His day-to-day
responsibilities included duties specific to Madison Square Garden
Network and Boxing, both of which thrived during his tenure.
With the Worldwide Senior Tennis Circuit, he played the pivotal
role in establishing the Nuveen Tour brand when the Jimmy Connors/Bjorn
Borg/John McEnroe circuit acquired its umbrella sponsorship. Simultaneously,
he established a PR services profit center at RHB Ventures, which
owned and operated the tennis tour.
Griffith’s past and current client list includes
NBC Sports (American Century Celebrity Golf Championship
and ADT Skills Challenge, both broadcast network television
specials), Carson Events International/National Dog
Show Presented by Purina and the National Football
Foundation, among others. He has also represented
SFX, Magnum Sports & Entertainment, NFL Players
Golf Club, Tickets Now, and Threshold Sports/Wachovia
USPRO Cycling Championship.
Known nationally for his aggressive style that is both creative
and systematic, Griffith has worked with some of the world’s
most prominent sports figures, including Muhammad Ali, Bob Costas,
LaDanian Tomlinson, John Elway, Charles Barkley, Mario Lemieux,
Evander Holyfield and John McEnroe, delivering impactful results.
Henry Brehm
Henry Brehm is a marketing & public relations expert and
an entrepreneur whose credentials include:
- • Vice President of ProServ,
one of the pioneering sports marketing
agencies from the 1980s
- • Co-founder of the Champions Tennis Tour with Jimmy Connors, Bjorn
Borg and John McEnroe, which grew to 21 events in 10 countries
on 5 continents before September 11, 2001.
During his years in sports and entertainment marketing,
Brehm raised over 10 million dollars for charitable
causes in conjunction with his event productions.
He saw the dedication and emotional attachment of
the people involved with those charities. He also
saw a void in the application of sophisticated communication
strategies to these fundraising efforts.
Kathi Graham
A veteran senior publicist and writer, Kathi Graham has a background
in sports, entertainment and television publicity and marketing
and has a knowledge of the full media spectrum. Her twenty years
of experience in communications, marketing and writing/producing
include the prominent companies NBC News, QVC, and the Worldwide
Senior Tennis Circuit.
She was named by NBC News as publicity director for “Today,” during
the period when the morning television institution overtook “Good
Morning America” for the day-to-day ratings lead in that
critical television race. Her other responsibilities at NBC included “NBC
News at Sunrise,” “Summer Sunday,” and various
network documentaries. During her time at NBC News, Graham functioned
as liaison with the national print and broadcast media, including
the planning and executing of semi-annual press tours; and planned
and executed publicity campaigns and press relations for special
international (Rome, Australia, South America, Great Britain,
aboard the Orient Express) and domestic (Amtrak tour of middle
America, aboard the SS Norway, America’s five most livable
cities, Super Bowl XX, political conventions, Ronald Reagan’s
Inauguration in 1985) trips. She also wrote and edited all press
releases, press kits and media guides. In addition, she planned
and executed special events and press conferences for “Today’s” 35th
Anniversary, and several “Today” primetime specials.
Upon leaving NBC, she became the Director of Media Relations
and Head Writer for GROUP M PRODUCTIONS, the independent television
production/talent management company co-owned by “Good Morning
America” host Joan Lunden. Group M produced and distributed
that nationally-syndicated “EVERYDAY with Joan Lunden,” produced
fund-raising programs for PBS, and produced and promoted the sold-out
Buddy Rich Memorial Scholarship Concert.
She later joined RHB Ventures where she was the Editor and Traffic
coordinator of “Courtside” – the 64-page full-color
program of the Worldwide Senior Tennis Circuit’s 10 US events
and served as a publicity consultant servicing clients such as
Mobil Oil, The Celebrity Golf Association and NBC Sports. Graham
was also the senior entertainment publicist for QVC, the world’s
pre-eminent television and internet retailer, and the senior publicist
for Q Records.
Graham has worked with some of the world’s most prominent
celebrities including Will Smith, Donald Trump, Bob Costas, Jason
Kidd, Bryant Gumbel, Charles Barkley, former President George
H.W. Bush, Tom Brokaw, Jane Pauley, Willard Scott, Joan Lunden
and Connie Chung.
Greg Wiley, Director of Communications
Greg Wiley joins Vizion Group Public Relations with a wealth of experience in the sports writing and public relations fields. Most recently, Greg completed his second stint as a Senior Writer/Editor at The Sports Network, an international sports wire service. Prior his role with Sports Network, Greg spent two years as the Public Relations Director for the Philadelphia Charge of the Women’s United Soccer Association. Greg also previously served as the Assistant Director of Public Relations with the Atlantic City Surf Professional Baseball Club, an Assistant Account Executive with Giles Communications and a part-time sports writer for the Intelligencer located in Doylestown, PA.
Greg graduated from York College of Pennsylvania
in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications,
majoring in TV/radio broadcasting with a minor in
public relations. He currently resides in Willow Grove,
PA with his wife and three children.
